About Us

Dhingra family Foundation, USA is a non-profit charitable trust. It provides financial assistance to non-profit organizations in USA and non government organizations (NGOs) abroad in the field of education, health, sanitation & hygiene, Hindi language and literature. It is registered in the state of North Carolina and was founded in Morrisville, North Carolina, on January 1, 2014.

Dhingra family has been supporting education of children through Pratham, USA and Ekal Vidaylaya Foundation, USA for over last 20 years. Working with Pratham, starting in 2014 through 2017, Dhingra Foundation supported the education and completion of secondary school of 100 high school dropouts girls per year from underprivileged families in the State of Rajasthan, India.

In Jaipur, Rajasthan, Dhingra Foundation funded Neofusion Creative Foundation for one year to run a vocational school for the children of women who work as maids. The children are provided remedial education and learn painting, dance and theater.

Dhingra Foundation and Ekal Vidaylaya Foundation, USA collaborated in the area of sanitation and hygiene. Our first project was a pilot program in 30 villages in Udiapur, Rajasthan, India. It focused on raising the awareness that poor sanitation and hygiene causes most of the diseases of the childhood. Currently, Dhingra Foundation is funding Digital Education through the opening of computer training centers in remote villages and tribal areas in India.

NCIAP, a non-profit organization located in North Carolina, is providing low cost health care to uninsured parents visiting from India and local residents. Dhingra Foundation is supporting NCIAP.

Hindi Vikas Mandal, a non-profit organization located in North Carolina, is running Hindi classes for children and focuses on spreading Indian culture through celebration of Indian festivals ( Dusshara and Ramleela) and organizing yearly Kavi Sammelan in the Triangle Area in collaboration with International Hindi Association. Dhingra Family and Dhingra Foundation has been supporting activities of Hindi Vikas Mandal over last 30 years.

Hindu Society of North Carolina, a non-profit religious & cultural organization, focuses on spreading Indian philosophy and culture through celebration of Indian festivals and inviting dignitaries throughout the year for discourses. Dhingra Family and Dhingra Foundation has been supporting activities of the Hindu Society of North Carolina for over last 30 years.

Dhingra Foundation is providing a one-year computer training certificate program for underprivileged girls with high school and college education. Dhingra Foundation, India has established a computer training center in Sehore, Madhay Pradesh, India. The program started in 2015 by enrolling 36 girls in the first year of the program. Over the last 9 years, more than 4000 girls have received one year computer diploma certificate and currently 400 girls are enrolled in the program per year. The graduating girls are gainfully employed in both the government and private sector.

In 2014, Dhingra Foundation launched International Literary Awards in Hindi Literature. In the first year, three outstanding recipients were awarded honors in three different categories of literature: Professor Hari Shanker Adesh, for life time achievements, from North America, Canada and Trinidad; Mahesh Katare, a pastoral writer from Gawaliar, India and Sudarshan Priydarshani, a story writer from USA. The awards are given every two years and award ceremony is held in USA or India. All additional award recipients over the years are: Usha Priyamvada, Chitra Mudgal, Dr. Gyan Chaturvedi, Dr. Kamal Kishor Goyenka, Manisha Kulshreshth, Mukesh Varma, Mamta Kalia, Usha Kiran Khan, Tejender Sharma, Raneder, Anil Prabha Kumar, and Umesh Pant.

Dhingra Family Foundation also publishes a quarterly Hindi Literary magazine, VIBHOM SWAR. The magazine was launched in 2016. International Literary awards are organized by the magazine board.
